That song goes back a long way to a time, somewhere in the 1960's - when such lovely music was still very much in fashion - the name Tiny Tim comes to mind...
And what about April Love? Same era... He also sang Love letters in the Sand...
Pat Boone. I believe that Tab Hunter tried his hand at both of them also. Not too successfully.
